Listen to Fred Bear’s ‘Field Notes’ on New Archery Podcast https://ift.tt/2JfY3f7

Bear Archery takes a historical angle on the ubiquitous hunting podcast with ‘Fred Bear’s Field Notes,’ based on a book the brand founder, a legendary bowhunter, penned the year before he died.

Bear Archery founder Fred Bear picked up a bow at age 29. And from there, he built a legacy that has far outlasted his lifetime. Bear Archery was founded in 1933 and continues to be an innovator in the archery world.

Its new podcast is like an audiobook made available to anyone who’d like to listen. “Fred Bear’s Field Notes Podcast” documents the book “Field Notes: The Adventures of Fred Bear,” written by the man himself in 1987 a year prior to his death.

The podcast is a treat. And the book hasn’t been reprinted since 2009. Furthermore, a paperback copy will set you back nearly $40, so Bear Archery is doing us all a decent favor by making it available for free.

So far, Bear Archery has released the first chapter. The rest of the book will follow in installments published every other week. Bear documented fifteen hunts in total for “Field Notes,” and “Chapter 1: Africa” is available now for listening ears.

So sit back, relax, and let the words of a legend float through your ears. Hunting season is here.
